Metal cleaning is another often overlooked area of car care, however there are a large number of metal parts to a car that require your attention should you wish to make your vehicle truly clean. Whilst metal does not require constant cleaning and care it will still need touching up and polishing from time to time in order to prevent corrosion that, if left untreated, could eventually end up so deeply ingrained into the metal that you require whole parts of your vehicle to be replaced! Here at Just Car Wax we do not recommend you take any chances, and our metal cleaning products will ensure that your car remains both visually stunning and well protected.
Before you even consider attempting metal cleaning you must first check to ensure that no corrosion has taken place. If it has it must be dealt with immediately, even minor surface rust can lead to greater problems further down the road if left untreated, so if you spot any signs of rust and corrosion be sure to pick up some deoxidiser in order to deal with the problem. Our deoxidisers will dissolve away any corrossion from steel, alloy and almost all metals within a few short minutes of being applied. It has proved time and time again how effective it is and is ideal for use on engine parts and engine bays.
After dealing with any corrosion then you can commence with the metal cleaning proper; our metal polish will ensure metal, steel and various alloys are left bright, clean and sparkling when you have finished applying it. It is particularly effective at cleaning stainless steel such as exhausts, and it has demonstrated the ability to remove bluing (a particular problem for motorbikes). This metal polish also works as a fine abrasive that will remove scratches from alloys and stainless steel, and even brass should you drive a vintage vehicle.
At Just Car Wax we are also pleased to be able to offer the Race Glaze supplied hose cleaner and protector. This product is perfect for use on stainless steel hoses and any anodised fittings on your vehicle, such as the wheels on Porsche 912's. It will work hard to prevent water from penetrating the surface of the metal and causing corrosion, and will make fixtures and fittings look better than new. We also stock a unique metal cleaning product that is, in effect, a paint laquer. It works to enhance the shine of bright metal areas and is popular with classic car and motorbike owners. It will happily withstand exceptionally high temperatures making it ideal for use in engine bays, and it does not dry hard so can be removed should you so desire.
